Ishanah is a beautiful, if very young, avarta woman. She has smooth, glowingly violet skin, creamy white eyes, and wavy raven hair to the middle of her back. She keeps her fingernails painted black and long, and paints her lips black as well, which gives her a somewhat sinister appearance, which suits her just fine. This contrasts with the almost-nothing that she wears. Bits and pieces of chain and padding, with a few metal plates cover her privates, and elegant, high-heeled, thigh-high boots cover her legs. She carries a collapsible longspear strapped against one long thigh. She wears very little jewelry for an avarta, with only a ring or two and a pair of earrings.
At first pass Ishanah seems over-sexualized and shallow, and she likes it that way just fine. It helps to keep people at bay, away from reaching her inner emotions. Inside of the voluptuous woman's body, she is still somewhat a young girl emotionally. She is afraid of being hurt, yet has a tendency to latch onto a particular person and tries to make them love her and protect her. She dislikes violence and does whatever she needs to in order to avoid being in the forefront of combat. Cursed with vampirism, she feels a conflict in her between the hunger for blood and a dread of being seen as a monster. When in private she constantly reads her tarot cards to try and predict her future so that she can feel like she has a little control over her life. To the same end she has always been fascinated with necromancy, the control over life and death greatly appealing to her, and has a hobby of studying necromantic lore.
Emotionally underdeveloped, Ishanah is bundle of little flaws. She likes to feel in control, hates being injured, and has a facade she displays to the world.
Xerdek - brother.
Ishanah was studying how to become a haruspex in Haxeri, the avarta capital, when the vampiric cleric of Maramaga, Toran, attacked and turned her into a vampiric thrall. He was defeated and she was freed of his control. Shortly thereafter she volunteered to carry a message to the Heroes of Silverus for her brother. There she met with the necromancer Mordre and immediately began trying to seduce him, finding his green skin exotic, his features handsome, and his necromantic skill appealing.
